AGM Minuttes

The second Annual meeting of Tibetan Chamber of Commerce was convened on 18th September, 2008. The minutes of the meeting are as follows:

The meeting started with the welcome speech from Vice Chairman Mr. Gyalnor Tsewang, where he stressed on the importance of a chamber in today’s world and having a proper mix of young Tibetan businessmen and establish businessmen as the governing members, who can devote time for the development of TCC. He also stressed on the importance of members attending TCC meeting, especially Annual Meetings where crucial decisions and policy amendments are made and decided.
TCC Governing member Mr. Dawa Rinchen read the Chairman's speech on behalf of TCC Chairman Mr. Dorjee W. Dewatshang who could not attend the meeting since he was out of city for emergency business commitment.
TCC Vice Chairman released the Tibetan Business Directory-2008-09, which will be distributed to all interested.
TCC Treasurer Mr. Sonam Phuntsok presented the Financial Report of TCC.
TCC Executive Director Mr. Tenzin Sonam read out the Annual Report. Also the TCC Discount card was introduced along with the other TCC future projects.
Due to insufficient quorum, the election of new Governing Members is postponed till the 1st week of December, 2008. The date and the venue will be fixed and will be announced to all the members.
Question and Answer session was carried out where explanation and sharing of ideas took place.
Last but no the least, TCC Governing member Mr. Tsering Dorjee thanked all the members who had attended the meeting.
