First of all I would like to welcome everyone to the second Annual General Body Meeting of the Tibetan Chamber of Commerce (TCC).
Almost three years have past since the inception of Tibetan Chamber of Commerce.
TCC with its limited resources have always tried to provide a variant of services and benefits to its members and to the Tibetan Business community. We have organized business workshops for our members and non members and from this year onwards have started “Tibet Fair” to provide a platform for the Tibetan entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services to the mainstream audiences. The Tibet fair will be held every year and with the each passing years TCC will try and organize it in different parts of India and other countries.
We have also been publishing and distributing Tibetan Business Directory (TBD) to help Tibetan Businesses reach out to the larger consumers and people all over the globe. The first edition was released in 2007 and the second will be released today and will be distributed free to all interested people all around.
Also through our website (www.tibetancc.org) we have been disseminating business related information to our members and interested peoples. Through this site, we have tried to provide information on various emerging industries, project profiles, what are the important steps for exporters and entrepreneurs and many more which we feel will be useful.
TCC is in constant touch with the CTA through Paljor Dept. and is always trying to establish contacts with prospective donors which can help TCC solve the financial constraints and achieve the objectives efficiently.
None of these initiatives and activities would have been possible without the contribution and support from our precious members, Paljor Department and the Kashag.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Kashag, Paljor Department, our board members and most importantly our TCC members for their support, contribution and encouragement and would like to request all to bestow their support to TCC in the coming years as well.
I, hereby present you all with the 2007-08 Annual Report and Financial Report of TCC.
