With few changes considering the ongoing crisis in Tibet and current situation, Tibetan Chamber of Commerce (TCC) organized a two days fair “Tibet Fair” at the Delhi Chinmaya Sewa Trust from 19-20th April, 2008 which was planned almost half a year back and initially had events such as Tibetan Cultural Show, Tibetan Fashion/Costume Exhibition show, performance by various Tibetan singers and stalls by various Tibetan organizations, associations, companies and individuals showcasing the various Tibetan products and services
Tibet Fair which was primarily planned to provide a platform to promote the Tibetan products and services which has huge demand all over the world but had not succeeded in tapping the opportunity added the additional objective in adherence to the current situation of creating awareness about Tibet through its various products and services. Tibet fair also aimed to provide the young Tibetans to show case their talent to the larger audience.
The Fair was inaugurated by the honorable Kalon Tempa Tsering la (Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, New Delhi) at 11:00 am and continued till 7:00 pm for both the days.
